I am pushing two decades of trimming and training in the southeast United States. It has been an educational journey. The time has come to transition. But where does that knowledge go? I can't imagine letting all those years of experience disappear. The BFT is my logbook to help assist others on their journey. With you, that dream expands exponentially. 

More people. More lessons. More impact. 

Too often, I have met horse owners at the end of their rope. Practitioners, full of dismal advice, and the internet, left them more confused and isolated than before. They were criticized, rejected, laughed at, and left to suffer. The bigger casualty than their feelings is the horse. 

Horses are fun, and despite the many costs and frustrations, they are my happy place. Again and again I have witnessed barriers to information leaving owners dangling or backed into undesirable (and ignorant) corners. They were bullied by their farrier, their vet, and other members of the barn. Even barn management. Barefoot hoof care and holistic horsecare should be a standard option for treatment. Not the ONLY option, just an option. This not only improves horses lives, but makes space for productive careers. 

Together is how we move the horse world forward. This industry is backed by intense science and research. It's time to widen the net to overcome bad information, colloquial idiocy, and indoctrinated ignorance.

In a world currently so divided,  we have to find ways to come together. Conversation, in and of itself shouldn't be controversial. Bravery should not be a prerequisite for talking to each other. Each of us offers a unique  perspective and thus the ability to raise up everyone around us. 

Together we can shift the horse world to a better educated and more connected place. The Barefoot Horse Society promotes educational discussion, debate, and disagreement. We do not tolerate shame, trolling, or hateful behavior of any kind (respectful disagreement isn't hateful). 

We try, we fail, we grow. 

Through each one of you, the horse world improves. Member by member, one conversation at a time, we can shift the entire world.
